Five people, three of them under the age of 18, were arrested following the carjacking of a man in Overlea.
This happened last Tuesday in the unit block of Lyndale Avenue at 4 p.m.
Baltimore County Police say the 66-year-old man pulled into his driveway and was approached by two teenagers. One of them had a gun and demanded his keys and cell phone.
The man complied and the teens drove off in his car.
Shortly after the carjacking, police found the victim's car at the intersection of McCormick and Councilman Avenues. The investigation led police to a home on Elmont Avenue where they found a car that had been reported stolen on February 1. Three people got out of the car and went into the home.
Police stayed outside the house and saw two people matching the description of the carjacking suspects leave and get into the car.
They stopped the car and ended up arresting all 5 people in the car.
Police said the driver, Jemar Cannon, 18, was in possession of an unregistered handgun and several bags of cocaine. He was charged for that and auto theft for the February 1 incident.
Tyreece Jones, 18, was a passenger in the car. He also faces vehicle theft charges.
A 16-year-old who won't be identified is also charged with vehicle theft.
The two Overlea carjacking suspects are identified as a 14-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy.
Police also searched the home on Elmont Avenue and found a pellet gun.
