TOWSON, Md. — The 'Y' of Central Maryland hosted a food distribution event at the YMCA Head Start in Towson on Wednesday morning.
Volunteers handed out dozens of boxes of fresh produce.
This is all through a partnership with Baltimore County and the Y.
"We've delivered over 4 million individual meals across Baltimore County with partners like the Y and the Baltimore County school system and other vendors and we're happy to meet the need out there because we've seen so many stories of families who are struggling in this time. They've lost their job, there's additional food insecurity."
Volunteers also conducted census outreach.
