Heating malfunction causes a daycare, church building to evacuate

ROSEDALE, Md. — Baltimore County Fire crews had evacuated a church building in Rosedale.

On Wednesday evening, crew members were called to the 8200 block of Philadelphia Road for a burning smell in the basement of church-like building.

According to the department, during their investigating the building was evacuated including a children's daycare.

Crews later learned that odor came from malfunctioning heating equipment.

Officials said that the hazard cleared and no one was injured.
