(WMAR) — Maryland State Highway Administration have reopened lanes on I-695 at Providence Road after it was shut down due to police activity on Tuesday.
According to Baltimore County Police, officers closed both directions at the junction to investigate a suspicious rental truck stopped on the highway.
Officials report that an officer attempted to stop the truck on I-83 for speeding when it began to flee from police and ran out of gas. The officer was alarmed by significant damage on the truck and called for a K9/Hazardous Devices Team to investigate, which caused the road closure.
