PARKVILLE, Md. — You passed the Easter Bunny on Easter. It was right there in a nice chair on Taylor Avenue at Perring Parkway.

It made you smile. It made your day. And then in the still of the seven o’clock hour last night, somebody stole the Easter Bunny.

Shannon McMillan bought the bunny last year for Peyton’s first Easter.

She had planned to take Easter pictures with her Logan, Savannah and Isabella, but that won’t happen.

Shannon made up a hand painted sign that read “Happy Easter, Thanks All Essential Workers #StayHome #StaySafe #MarylandStrong” In the small print it read, “Please do not touch or remove me! I have a family and belong to 4 small children”

But somebody stole the message of love to all who are out there working during the virus.

The Parkville community responded like it always does, offering Shannon and her family more bunnies, more chairs.

But tonight somebody has a bunny and four little ones do not.
