LANSDOWNE, Md. — Baltimore County Public Schools temporarily closed Lansdowne High School due to a power outage.
According to a BCPS official, they believe the severe weather that hit the Baltimore County area on Wednesday resulted in storm damage that caused the outage.
School officials also announced the early dismissal of Reisterstown Elementary at 10:30 a.m.
Although school isn't in session, summer programs were being held at both of the schools. They say in addition to the closures, all after school and evening activities will be canceled at both schools.
It is unknown when repairs will be made or whether or not the schools will be open on Friday.
