CATONSVILLE, Md. — The fire that took place at the Loafers Sports Bar and Grill on August 30 in Catonsville remains under investigation.

Baltimore County fire crews were dispatched to the restaurant just before 4 p.m. on Friday after a fire marshal saw smoke coming from the business. Fire crews found a heavy fire when they arrived.
Investigators determined that the fire started in an exterior wall surrounding the second-story staircase. The cause is still under investigation.
Investigators also say the damages are estimated to be about $1 million.

Two career and one volunteer firefighter were treated for heat exhaustion as a result of the fire.
