TIMONIUM, Md. — Jason Hisley is a nationally recognized chef and on Tuesday he was locally recognized.
Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski celebrated Hisley. The owner of Cake By Jason in Timonium is a repeat Food Network Champion.
Last month, Hisley and his team, Bah Hum-Bakers, won Food Network's Holiday Wars. They also took home $25,000.
"Being on the show has been huge for the shop it afford us so many luxuries of being able to reach out to the community in different ways," said Hisley. "We've gotten involved with a ton of local charities that way and its just given us a national platform to not only kind of sell our products and ship them all over the country but also to get people to know who we are and what we do."
Hisley also taught Olszewski how to professionally decorate cupcakes.
