A man was struck and killed while standing next to his car which was on Philadelphia Road in Rosedale, Baltimore County Police said.
Police said a man driving a Mazda 6 had pulled over in the shoulder of Philadelphia Road near the Mayflower Road intersection. At 2:18 a.m. a Honda Accord traveling north on Philadelphia Road veered across an oncoming lane of traffic and struck the Mazda and the man, who was standing outside of his car at the time.
The man was rushed to the Shock Trauma Unit in Baltimore where he was later pronounced dead. Police identified him as Christopher Allen Curtis, 21, of the 8500 block of Upton Circle in Rosedale.
The driver of the Honda suffered minor injuries and was treated at an area hospital.
The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team are investigating the cause of the accident.
