One person was killed in a car crash on I-97 in Glen Burnie Monday night, according to Maryland State Police.
Firefighters responded to I-97 south and Dorsey Road just before 8:30 p.m. for a reported accident
with people trapped inside.
Crews arrived to find that an SUV hit the rear of a rollback tow truck at high speeds. The driver, an adult male believed to be in his late 20s, was trapped in the vehicle and died at the scene.
A 34-year-old female passenger was taken to Shock Trauma with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
