ESSEX, Md. — Baltimore County Police are investigating an early morning shooting in Essex.
The department said at 1:40 a.m., a 23-year-old man and some friends were in the area of Bayner Road and Bayner Court when he was shot.
The victim went to a nearby gas station for for help.
He was taken to an area hospital for treatment with a non-life-threatening wound.
Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene and are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Anyone with information should contact police by calling 410-307-2020.
