MIDDLE RIVER, Md. — Baltimore County Police are investigating an early morning shooting in Middle River.
Officers said they found a 21-year-old victim walking on Midego Drive near Banca Place around 2:00 a.m. with a gunshot wound to the upper body. Witnesses told police they heard the shooting and found the victim lying on the ground suffering a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive.
Police said the suspect(s) fled the scene before their arrival.
Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Anyone who may have seen or heard anything around the time of the shooting is asked to contact police by calling 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous.
