Now that it is November, Thanksgiving will be here before you know it and the Maryland Food Bank is making sure every family has a delicious meal on the table.

The organization kicked off its "Pack to Give Back" campaign Thursday.

Volunteers packed thousands of boxes with traditional holiday fixings, such as mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and stuffing. Each of the boxes, which feeds a family of four, were also paired with a turkey.

The boxes will be distributed to soup kitchens, pantries and shelters across the state.

"At the food bank, we're putting out a hundred meals a day to try and help feed those people, but toady there's an extra effort that will go out so will ensure that during the holidays, people can enjoy the holiday like you and I can," said Carmen DelGuercio, Maryland Food Bank.

The Maryland Food Bank teamed up with community agencies and corporate partners for "Pack to Give Back."
