Maryland State Police arrested an additional person involved in a drug trafficking operation.
As part of an ongoing investigation, 19-year-old Michael Dashawn Walls was arrested and charged with several felony and misdemeanor violations.
Walls was arrested Wednesday and was found with the possession of about 16 pounds of raw marijuana and $795 in drug money. Investigators say after a search and seizure at Wall's home they also found 3 firearms and additional evidence connected to the drug trafficking operation.
Officials started their investigation of the drug trafficking organization in late fall of 2017. The Maryland State Police Heroin Unit alongside over nine units and official offices were able to follow through with this investigation after tracking a documented criminal gang associate's distribution of opioids in several counties.
