Are you heading to the Maryland State Fair? Here's your one-stop shop for all fair information!

The fair runs from August 22 all the way through September 2 and takes place at 2200 York Road.


ADMISSION:

  • Adult: $10
  • Seniors: (62 & over): $8
  • Children (6 to 11): $5
  • Children 5 and under: FREE (Rides are not included).
  • Military, Police, Fire/EMS with active ID: FREE

Rides are individually priced.

A ticket is required for all persons aged 3 and over for concerts held in the Racetrack Infield.

The fair has advised that pets are not allowed except those participating in sanctione shows, demonstrations, competitions and trained service animals assisting handlers with disabilities per the ADA.

Attendees can come as early as 9 a.m. to see the livestock and horse shows.

Rides, game and food open at noon on weekdays and 10 a.m. on the weekend and on Labor Day.

RIDE TICKETS:

Individual ride tickets may be purchased on the Midway at the Ride Ticket Booths (various locations throughout Midway).

Tickets are $1 each and each ride uses approximately 1-6 rides tickets.

Discount Ticket Sheets are also available: 50 tickets for $45.

RIDE ALL RIDE WRISTBANDS are NOT VALID on the Spaceport which only accepts 8 ride tickets.

PARKING:

Limited parking is available on the Fairgrounds for $10.

FREE PARKING: Available at the Park and Ride location on Deereco Road west of the Fairgrounds.

Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Handicapped parking is available.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:

Fairgoers can ride Light RailLink to the "Fairgrounds" station, or the LocalLink 93 busline to the Fairgrounds Park & Ride, located on Greenspring Drive. The Fairgrounds entrance gate, near the Cow Palace, is just a short walk from both services. Because convenient parking is limited, the Fair says that use of the public transit is encouraged.
