Man injured after jumping off crane in Balt Co.

An Oregon man was hospitalized after he jumped off of a crane in White Marsh Monday night.

Baltimore County Police and Fire crews responded to a construction site in the 8200 block of Town Center Drive at t 8:12 p.m. for a report of an injured person.

An initial investigation revealed that a man working for the construction company jumped from a 160-foot crane. The parachute he was wearing didn’t fully deploy when he jumped.

He landed on a steel box and was injured.

Officers found that there were two GoPro cameras attached to his helmet.

The man, 33-year-old David Matthew Mazik, of the 15800 block of Southwest King Richard Drive in King City, Oregon, was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center for treatment.

His current condition is unknown.
