WHITE MARSH, Md. — Unaccompanied minors will be banned from The Avenue at White Marsh grounds for three months if caught without an adult after 9:00 p.m.

Officials said the Youth Escort Policy has been in effect since 2005, and recent updates to the policy began February 22.

According to the policy, all visitors under 17-years-old without supervision or without proof of age after 9:00 p.m. are in violation of the center’s Youth Escort Policy. They will be banned from the property for three months and can not return with or without supervision during the three month banning period.

Starting at 8:00 p.m., crews will remind youth about the policy orders. Young people who are waiting for rides will wait at a designated location in front of Barnes & Noble where parking is reserved for these vehicles.

The Avenue officials said youth visitors going to the movie theater after hours must be with an adult 21-years-old or older and tickets must be purchased by an adult to gain admittance to the theater.

In 2018, three juvenileswere charged with assaulting an officer and destroying property at The Avenue. It's not determined if the policy is a result of recent youth incidents at the shopping center.
