A judge has sentenced a Towson pharmacist to 40 years in prison for distributing oxycodone in exchange for sexual acts.

According to court documents, 64-year-old Richard Hiller was a licensed pharmacist working in Towson when he admitted to filling fake prescriptions for oxycodone for several women.

Hiller made two of the women have sex with him or perform sexual acts in the rear of the pharmacy before filling their false prescription listed under fake names and names of family members.

“Hiller abused his position of trust and exploited women who were addicted to oxycodone to obtain sexual favors.  Those who divert pharmaceutical drugs for illegal purposes further the tragic cycle of addiction and the epidemic of opioid overdose deaths,” said U.S. Attorney Robert K. Hur.

In a course of three years, Hiller distributed approximately 20,500 15 milligram oxycodone pills.
