PARKVILLE, Md. — Baltimore County Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident in Parkville that led to the arrest of two Baltimore City Police officers.

According to Baltimore County Police, an officer responded to a call about a hit and run in the 7500 block of Hillsway Ave at 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

During the investigation, police learned that a door bell camera caught the crash. The suspects were driving a Honda Crosstour, that hit a parked vehicle's driver-side and rear.

The two suspects, later identified as Baltimore Police officers Danielle Renee White and Akeem Olajuwon Nelson continued to drive off until the SUV became disable.

White and Nelson were stopped by a responding officer who saw them. When the officers spoke to them, they gave police false statements.

Nelson, the driver, was arrested when he tried to walk away during the investigation.

He's being charged with the hit-and-run and false statement to police.

White, who was the passenger, was arrested after causing a loud disturbance that caused neighbors to leave their home.

They were released on their own recognizance following a bail hearing.
