BALTIMORE — Two Light RailLink stations in Baltimore County will be closed on weekends from mid-March to early April so the Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration can perform track maintenance, the agency announced Thursday..

Track work at the Timonium Fairgrounds and Gilroy Road stops will begin on March 15 and continue through April 8, the agency said, with the majority of the work planned for weekends. The Timonium Fairgrounds stop will close between 8 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Tuesday on the weekends of March 15 through March 19, and March 22 through March 26. The Gilroy Road stop will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday until 4 a.m. Monday on the weekends of March 29 through April 1 and April 5 through April 8.

For riders who still need the service during closures and construction, MDOT MTA will operate bus bridges through the two stops. Signage and transit ambassadors should be present to help passengers navigate through potentially altered routes, and updates will be posted to the MDOT MTA website and social media pages.
