Baltimore County Police have two suspects in custody following a police chase Friday afternoon.

Police say officers were chasing a car that was wanted in connection with a Virginia homicide Friday morning. The pursuit was initiated after officials in Newport News, VA asked Baltimore County Police to check for a silver Scion headed to the Essex area around 12:19 p.m.

Police were searching for the car when they saw it leaving a parking lot near the Back River off Eastern Boulevard in Essex. Police followed the car to the Parkville area where they tried to conduct a traffic stop.

After seeing the cops, the suspects in the car drove away, causing the pursuit. The chase continued into Baltimore City on Harford Road near Tayor Ave, and finally ended in a parking lot in the 12500 block of Eastern Avenue near Ebenezer Road around 1:07 p.m.

During the chase, multiple items were thrown from the Scion including ammunition and two long guns. The two people inside of the car were arrested, a woman driver and a male passenger.

Officers say while the chase was lengthy, it was conducted at moderate speeds and resulted in the arrests of two potentially dangerous suspects with no collisions and no injury to citizens, officers, or the suspects.
