BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. — Baltimore County Police say two people were killed Friday evening in a car crash that happened on Baltimore National Pike.

Crash investigators were called to the scene at around 5:41 p.m. after a Nissan Altima that was attempting to make a left turn in front of traffic, from Baltimore National Pike onto Pine Street, was struck by a Toyota Scion. The Scion ended up pushing the Altima into a Toyota Sienna that had been stopped on Pine Street.

Drivers of both the Scion and the Sienna were transported to area hospitals with minor injuries and the remaining passengers in the Sienna were not injured.

However, the driver and passenger of the Altima suffered critical injuries and were both transported to R Adams Shock Trauma Center, where they later died. They have been identified as 85-year-old George Guss Stavrakos and 66-year-old Ramadasa Subraya Bhatta, both of the 900 block of Coleridge Road.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Investigation Team is currently working to discover the factors contributing to this crash.
