The Cockeysville break is 12 inches in diameter and broke at 1101 McCormick Road. Three fire hydrants as well as seven "large services" are out as a result of the break.
Officials say the road has been damaged and is causing closures on McCormick Road between Wight Avenue and Beaver Dam Road. Those traveling in the area should expect congestion.
