Jordan McNair is being honored by the University of Maryland throughout this season. Now, he's being remembered by his high school.

McDonogh held a special ceremony before Friday night's football game to honor the life of McNair, who died in June from heatstroke two weeks after collapsing during a team workout.

All of the players put his special number 70 decal on their helmets. They will wear the decals all season.

His jersey was also retired and the team captains presented his parents with a framed jersey.

"He was just a kid in a man's body that's the best thing I can say about him. Always happy, always just jovial. It's hard being without him," said Michael Fuller, McNair's former coach.

The number 70 jersey will also hang inside the school.
