MILFORD MILL, Md. — Baltimore County Police detectives are investigating a deadly shooting inside a Milford Mill apartment building Friday morning.
It happened in the 7200 block of Chippenham Place just before 9 a.m.
Police say a resident was inside their apartment when they heard gunfire coming from the third-floor hallway.
That's when the resident looked out their door to find Marlen Xioma Maldonado-Caceres, 30, laying on the ground shot. She later died at an area hospital.
Detectives determined that Maldonado-Caceres was shot by her ex-boyfriend. He was found a short distance away sitting in a vehicle, suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He is currently in a local hospital in grave condition. Police are not looking for any other suspects.
