Fire officials are trying to figure out what caused a blaze in Westminster that completely destroyed a home on Wednesday.
According to the Office of the State Fire Marshal, the flames broke out just before 7 p.m. at a home on Nicodemus Road. The fire started in the garage of the one story wood frame home. It took the Winfield Volunteer Fire Department about 35 minutes to put out the one alarm fire. No fire alarms or sprinklers were detected in the house at the time of the fire.
Damages are estimated at about $90,000. No injuries were reported
