CARROLL COUNTY, Md. — A Carroll County man has been charged with multiple arson-related charges after officials determined he was the individual responsible for setting fires within the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
The morning of June 26, members of the Taneytown Volunteer Fire Company responded to the church located at 32 West Baltimore Avenue and extinguished the fires within minutes after arrival.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
Taneytown Police Department responded to the scene as well and detained 47-year-old David Francis Creager who confessed to intentionally setting the church on fire.
Creager is currently being held at the Carroll County Detention Center without bond.
