A Carroll County music teacher is a semifinalist for the 2019 Grammy Music Educator Award, the county's public school system announced Tuesday.
Brandi Jason, an instrumental music teacher at Liberty High School in Eldersburg, has been a semifinalist for the award for three consecutive years, being a finalist in 2018.
The award is designed to recognize educators who make significant and lasting contributions in music education and maintain such programs in their schools. The recipient of the award will be recognized during Grammy Week 2019, CCPS said.
