Crews with the Gamber Volunteer Fire Company in Carroll County fought a fire that broke out very close to their station along Niner Rd in Finksburg Tuesday evening.
According to the State Fire Marshal, 40-firefighters arrived to find a two-story, single family home on fire that was first reported by an EMS unit responding to a medical call when they observed the smoke.
Officials say no one was currently living in the home as it was under renovation. No one was injured in the fire.
The estimated loss is $200,000.00; the cause remains under investigation.
