WESTMINSTER, Md. — A man is dead from internal injuries after getting into a fight at a party, and the person who hit him is now facing manslaughter charges.

The Carroll County Sheriff's Office says on Saturday 43-year-old Raymond Charles Banz was at a party in the 2700 block of Coon Club Road when he got too drunk and was asked to leave. Banz allegedly refused to leave the party, so another guest, 49-year-old Todd Michael Dauses, stepped in and tried to physically remove him.

Banz would still not leave the house despite Dauses's efforts, so they began to fight. Banz finally left and returned to his house in Reisterstown.

The next day around 9 p.m., police responded to Banz's house after reports that he needed medical attention. When officials arrived they found Banz dead.

His body was taken to the Medical Exaniner's Office where it was determined that his internal injuries from the fight likely contributed to his death.

Deputies pieced together what happened and arrested Dauses and charged him with manslaughter and two counts of assault and reckless endangerment.

The investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with information should contact Detective Harbaugh at the Sheriff's Office at 410-386-5900.
