A group of McDaniel College students put together "hygiene kits" this week to donate to the Rape Crisis Intervention Service of Carroll County while they were on spring break.
The bags contain toiletries, and are given to victims after they are examined.
The students say talks about a tough subject like sexual assault are ones that should be discussed on every campus.
“It's relevant to the college experience and college campus, this is something we should all be educated on and spring break is a great opportunity because we're all busy during the academic year.. this is when we can do more for our community,” student Nadia Sorezza said.
The students also visited a domestic violence shelter, and will be taking a trip to the United Way of Central Maryland Friday.
