WESTMINSTER, Md. — One person is dead and three others are injured after a multi-car crash in Westminster on Wednesday.
Maryland State Police say the crash happened on Littlestown Pike after a Nissan Sentra, driven by Jesse Wiseman, went into the opposite lane for unknown reasons and hit a Ford Escape driven by Ashley Partin.
Wiseman then continued to drive after hitting Partin, and hit an Acura driven by Kimberly Fonaldson, as well as another Ford Escape driven by Mary M. Zinn.
Wiseman was pronounced dead at the scene and Partin and Donaldson were taken to Carroll Hospital Center for non-life threatening injuries. Zinn had to be flown to Shock Trauma because of the extent of her injuries and is undergoing treatment.
Police say there are no obvious signs of impairment and the crash is still under investigation. If you witnessed the crash police ask you call 410-386-3000.
Because of the crash, Littlestown Pike was closed for six hours.
