TAYLORSVILLE, Md. (WMAR) — Four prison inmates were injured Tuesday after a van transporting them collided with a dump truck.
It happened around 10:15 a.m. in the area of Route 26-Liberty Road and Buffalo Road at the Carroll and Frederick County border.
Maryland State Police say the Division of Corrections van tried making a U-turn when it was struck by the dump truck.
Only four inmates were on board at the time. Each was transported to a hospital with unknown injuries. Neither driver was hurt.
Police are still investigating who was at fault and if any other factors were involved.
