WESTMINSTER, Md. — A 77,000-pound tractor trailer truck loaded with green beans crashed on MD Route 30, causing a big mess and road closures.
The incident happened on Route 30 northbound at Brodbeck Road Monday afternoon, said Maryland State Police.
Officials say an investigation revealed that the driver of the tractor trailer lost control over the vehicle, and the truck rolled to its side on the highway.
Northbound Route 30 was closed as crews were called to the scene to clean up the green bean and fuel spill.
MSP says Route 30 was reopened just after 8 p.m on Monday, and the fuel spill didn't cause any hazmat threat.
