A woman had to medevaced to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma after a single-car crash at a drive thru window.
According to police, 33-year-old Shanah Fish of Linthicum, Maryland, suffered severe injuries in the drive-thru lanes at a McDonalds on Ridgeside Drive.
When paramedics arrived, Fish was partially pinned between her Chevy pickup and the brick wall near the pick-up window.
"Troopers do believe that the door was open at the time and they're not sure why it was open, whether she was reaching out to grab something she may have dropped," said Elena Russo, spokesperson for the Maryland State Police. "That's all part of the ongoing investigation."
At the time of the accident, Fish has three small children, all under the age of five, inside the truck. Police believe they were all secured in safety seats.
