PERRYVILLE, Md. (WMAR) — A fire boat rescued two people from the Susquehanna River within nine minutes on Thursday evening.
Just before 7:45 p.m., Marine 5 of the Susquehanna Hose Company was dispatched to Owens Landing in Perryville, for a report of someone in the water.
By 7:52 p.m., four rescuers aboard Marine 5 had arrived and located both individuals, and pulled them from the water.
The crew was then able to safely transport the individuals to shore, where they were evaluated by awaiting EMS.
