ELKTON, Md. — Fire officials are investigating a two-story house fire that took place around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday on Lewisville Road in Elkton.
No injuries were reported and the estimated amount lost in the structure and contents is around $175,000.
It took the Elkton Fire Company about an hour to control the fire after it was discovered by a passerby.
Both the cause and area of origin are under investigation.
According to the State Fire Marshal, the home is considered a complete loss and anyone with information is asked to contact the Northeast Regional Office at (410) 836-4844.
