NORTH EAST, Md (WMAR) — Maryland State Police are investigating a Saturday evening crash that killed a pedestrian in Cecil County.
The incident reportedly happened on the northbound side of I-95 and Maryland Route 272.
Investigators believe, the 23-year-old male pedestrian was attempting to cross over southbound lanes into the northbound side of I-95 when he was struck by a white Infiniti.
Crews pronounced the man deceased on scene. The driver of the Infiniti remained at the location. Police don't believe drugs and alcohol were a factor.
The identity of the victim has not been released pending family notifications.
The Maryland State Police Crash Team is continuing to investigate the crash.
