Pick-up truck catches on fire, overturns after collision on I-95 in Cecil County

A pick-up truck wound up overturned and on fire as all lanes of I-95 North were blocked in Cecil County due to a crash Tuesday morning.

Maryland State Police said a crash between a pick-up truck and a tractor trailer occurred at about 10:30 a.m. at mile marker 99 in northeast Cecil County. The pick-up overturned and caught fire, but its male occupant was not in the truck when it burst into flames. He was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the tractor trailer was no injured.

The accident initially closed all three lanes of I-95 North, with one lane opening at 11 a.m. But 11:41 a.m., State Police tweeted all lanes of the highway had reopened.
