Two firefighters sustain minor burns in Cecil County house fire

CECIL COUNTY, Md. — Two firefighters sustained minor burns while trying to put out a house fire in Cecil County.

According to the State Fire Marshal's Office, the fire took place in the 100 block of Foxwood Road on Saturday around 2:06 p.m.

A neighbor discovered the fire and it took about 20 minutes for firefighters to control the fire.

One of the injured firefighters refused treatment and the other was taken to Union Hospital with non-life threatening burns.

There were no reports of any other injuries.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
