KENT ISLAND, Md. — Hot turkey, gravy, all the trappings but dinner is not at grandma's house.

Dinner is severed at Fisherman's Inn on Kent Island.

This is the 17th Thanksgiving Rose Thompson and her friends have been doing at Fisherman's Inn. It's not so much she doesn't want to cook but having someone else cook for you fits into the holiday week better.

“Well, we work all week long and it's just easier to go out.” said Thompson

Her friend Irene Moriarty and her husband are moving soon so, fixing a big dinner would have been difficult.

“Takes us at least two days ahead of time and prepping the day before and then the night before and then getting up early the next day. It's several hours of prep and we would have 15 or 16 people come over the house.” said Moriarty.

There are many advantages to going out for Thanksgiving dinner. There’s no clean up when you get done. There's only one thing to do, which is that's pay the bill.
