EDGEWOOD, Md. — An 11-year-old boy who fire crews rescued from a Joppa swimming pool on Memorial Day has died.
According to a family member, Zephaniah Muchele passed away on Friday at Johns Hopkins Children's Center in Baltimore.

Last Monday, Muchele was found unresponsive and not breathing inside a swimming pool at a home in the unit block of Neptune Drive.
Members of the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company responded and were able to apply CPR and resuscitate Muchele.
He was eventually flown to the hospital by helicopter, where he remained in critical condition until his death.
A Go Fund Me has been set up to assist Zephania's family with medical and funeral expenses. In four days, $7,646 has been raised towards a $10,000 goal.
