A 17-year-old died Monday morning after driving into a tree, according to troopers.
Troopers were called to Level Road in the area of McCommons Road in Churchville around 5:45 a.m. about a deadly crash.
Preliminary investigations show that James Pope, 17, was driving a Toyota west on Level road when he drove off the road and hit a tree.
Troopers are not sure the reason Pope went off the road.
There were no other passengers in the car.
Level road was closed for two and a half hours while troopers conducted their investigation.
