ABERDEEN, Md. (WMAR) — An Aberdeen Police officer gave two young boys some holiday cheer this week.

Someone apparently vandalized Christmas decorations outside the boys home.

So out of the kindness in her heart, Officer Mowery purchased new Christmas lights and set them up overnight, so the boys would be surprised when they woke up.

On their Facebook page, the Aberdeen Police Department posted that Officer Mowery has done her share of similar good deeds in the past.

"This is not the first time she has demonstrated an act of kindness that goes above and beyond the call of duty. Officer Mowery does not seek recognition for her good deeds but we had to share. Officer Mowery's actions are the definition of the true meaning of Christmas!!!"
