The John Carroll community is raising money for the family of Josh Hamer, who was killed in a car accident Thursday morning in Harford County.
A giving page has been set up to offset the funeral and burial costs. Any additional funds raised will go toward establishing a scholarship in Josh's name.

The sophomore was riding in a car with his great uncle. They were turning left from Route 22 into a Royal Farms, when they were struck by an oncoming vehicle. Police said Mark Peterson, Hamer's great uncle, failed to yield.
Hamer, 15, was taken to the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center before being flown to Shock Trauma, where he died.
He would have celebrated his 16th birthday on April 2.
