Maryland State Police say a man was killed when he lost control of his car on a snow-covered road and hit a utility pole.

It happened about 5:45 p.m. Monday on Route 155 in Havre de Grace, troopers said in a news release. Authorities say Christopher Lewis of Bel Air was driving west when he lost control of his car, which slid off the road and hit the utility pole.

Troopers say Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is under investigation.
