EDGEWOOD, Md. (WMAR) — On Friday, around 3:19 a.m., deputies were in the area of Edgewater Village on patrol when they heard a single gunshot that came from the area of Grempler Way and Brookside Drive.
Deputies immediately responded and located an man, identified as Joshua Dwayne Crouse, 40 of Joppa, in the roadway on the 1800 block of Grempler Way.
Deputies made an immediate effort to save his life. Medics responded to assumed treatment and pronounced him dead at 3:50 a.m.
Joshua Dwayne Crouse was a survivor of an arson attack on May 9, 2019 that killed three.
Crouse's former roommate Bobbie Sue Hodge, 60, has been charged by the Harford County Sheriff’s Office with three counts of first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of attempted second-degree murder, and first-degree arson.
