A Harford County family is with one less loved one. Tyler James Pope was killed as he was coming home early Monday morning and now the rising C. Milton Wright senior won't get to fulfill all the dreams he had.

ABC2 News spoke with his aunt and some who knew him well. They say Tyler was a rising star.

Pope was coming home from a fishing trip and ran off the road just before 6 a.m. Monday. Maryland State Police say the accident happened along Route 155 near McCommons Road in Churchville .

They say he was traveling westbound on Route 155 when for unknown reasons, his vehicle left the road. The impact killed Pope at the scene.

Pope was a student at C Milton Wright High School. He was a lacrosse player and also played for Ground Control, a local lacrosse club.

Police are still trying to piece together what caused the crash.

A Tweet from the student government at C Milton Wright High School said there will be a vigil for Pope Thursday night at 8:30 p.m. at the school.

There's also a Go Fund Me page to help the teen's family with funeral costs.
