ABERDEEN, Md. — An international grocery store is expanding in the U.S. after opening a second location in Maryland on Wednesday.

Lidl started in Germany and has expanded to 29 different countries, and now 64 locations in the United States. Since coming to the U.S., it has been ranked a top three U.S. supermarket by Food & Wine magazine.

"Lidl really is a unique shopping experience. We offer really the highest quality products at the lowest possible prices. When you walk into Lidl for the first time you are really hit with these fresh products," said Lidl spokesperson Chandler Ebeier. "We make sure that it really is the most convenient experience and people are able to get in, get the products they need on their list, and get on with the rest of their day.”

The new Aberdeen store says their newly-built location will make shopping easier, will offer high quality products, healthy and sustainable choices, organic and gluten-free options, as well as an ever-changing section of non-food products each week that will be there for a limited time.

“I think the key thing to know about Lidl is we really offer very high quality products and the prices are amazing. Any time you walk around you can see that either with our everyday low prices, or any special deals we have going on,” explained Ebeier.

And Ebeier says when shopping at Lidl you wont be faced with 10 different options for each food products, but rather one or two options that the Lidl team have chosen for the consumer.

Also, they say because their stores are worldwide, they can bring authentic and quality products from all over.
