Legendary Linda Warehime trying for Orioles Hall of Fame

and last updated

Linda Warehime Butcher’s dad was a Lieutenant on the police force.

Her brothers were on the Oriole grounds crew.

So why not let Linda on the field.

From 1969 through 1975, you would see Linda run onto the field during the 5th inning of Oriole games at Memorial Stadium.

She would sweep all the bases and then at third she would stop to clean the dirt off the greatest third baseman to ever live, Brooks Robinson.

Then the antics would start.

She would tease and torment the visiting third base coaches and umpires.

The crowd would go wild.

Now, Linda wants to get into the Orioles Hall of Fame. She would become the second behind Julie Wagner.

As of Tuesday, she is 27 votes short.
